I began teaching upon graduating from college in 1991 while finishing my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Since then, I've taught almost exclusively at my current school in New Orleans in various positions, settling into small-group and support work for the last 20+ years. As a Reading teacher, I teach book and strategy focused units to small groups of four to six students in First through Fourth grades. As Learning Innovation Coordinator, I teach iPad classes focused on creating within our 1:1 iPad structure in Lower School, integrating technology with classroom curriculum, and introducing digital literacy concepts. I also coach and assist teachers with technology and curriculum projects as needed. Finally, I run our Lower School MakerSpace and offer regular Genius Hour classes. In addition to the work I do in my immediate community, I enjoy learning and sharing within the larger EdTech community. My overarching passion is finding that sweet spot where creativity and technology meet to inspire and engage students and teachers alike - creative technology is my jam!
